MTS Participation in the Agrinnovation Conference 2025
As part of its continued efforts to innovate and collaborate, MTS participated in the Agrinnovation Conference 2025, organized by Edufarmers and the Indonesian Farmers Youth. The conference, which ran until February 22, 2025, at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), was part of the National Coordination Meeting and a celebration of the Indonesian Farmers Youth Anniversary.
Development of Mechanized Agriculture in South Sumatra
MTS is developing fully mechanized corn farming at the Indonesian Army's Combat Training Center (Puslatpur) in Baturaja, Martapura, South Sumatra. Covering 2,000 hectares, 530 hectares have been planted to date. This program was developed in collaboration with local communities and the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) to improve the sustainability of the agricultural sector and support Indonesia's food security.
R&D and Integrated Farming in Post-Mining Lands in East Kalimantan
In Jonggon, Kutai Kartanegara, East Kalimantan, MTS is conducting integrated farming research and development (R&D) on 1,200 hectares of post-mining land. Currently, MTS has developed a 30-hectare demonstration plot for corn farming as a first step in optimizing the former mined land.
This program focuses not only on agriculture but also integrates a 200-head cattle farm to support a sustainable agricultural system. Livestock waste is used as natural manure to enrich the soil and increase agricultural yields organically.
