Jakarta – MMS Group Indonesia (MMSGI) reaffirmed its commitment to environmental sustainability by winning the prestigious 2025 Best Corporate Transparency and Emission Reduction Award from Investortrust.id. The event was held on Tuesday (April 29) at the Sultan Hotel in Jakarta.

At the event, MMSGI was awarded the Ruby category for its high awareness of the impact of emissions and its reduction initiatives and the Green category for full transparency in measuring and achieving real emissions reductions.

Through its subsidiary, PT Multi Harapan Utama (MHU), MMSGI demonstrates consistency in managing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. Measurements are conducted for direct (Scope 1) and indirect (Scope 2) emissions across all operations, in accordance with the IPCC Guidelines for National Greenhouse Gas Inventories (2006).

Various emission reduction efforts are also being actively implemented, ranging from efforts to reduce energy consumption, revegetation, river basin rehabilitation, to participation in purchasing carbon credits in the initial IDX Carbon trading.

During 2023, emission reductions reached ~273,000 tonnes of CO2e through revegetation, reclamation, and watershed rehabilitation efforts, contributing to both emission reductions and energy consumption reductions. Through initiatives such as implementation Daily Consumption Monitoring (DCM) for the 777D/E hauler, fuel management (refueling) and the utilization of used oil, MHU has succeeded in reducing energy consumption and emissions. MHU has also implemented the ISO 50001:2018 Energy Management System, which has resulted in reduced emissions.

CEO MMSGI, Sendy Greti, said that this award is both an encouragement and a responsibility to continue to innovate in the company's sustainability journey.
